Mary Coady has been a Group Fitness Instructor for 15 years as well as a life-time athlete and active fitness industry participant for over 30 years. She is certified in AFFA Group Fitness, AFAA Kickboxing, Les Mills Body Combat, Turbo-Kickboxing and American Red Cross CPR/Defibrillator Skills. Additional training includes a Group Fitness Instructor Training course and personal training with competitive mixed martial artists and boxers.
Group fitness classes taught include Cardio Kickboxing (cardio and heavy bags), Boot Camp, Muscle/Strength, Abdominals/Core, Toning, Body Combat, Step, Hi-Low Aerobics and Circuit. Employers include Gold’s Gym, Fitness Edge, WOW Fitness, New England Athletic Club and Lion’s Den Mixed Martial Arts Training and Fitness Center. Mary is a mother of two girls and has been taking them to the gym since birth. As a family they have a strong appreciation and dedication to fitness and an overall healthy lifestyle merging exercise and good nutrition. Mary now enjoys working out with her teenage and young adult daughters. She loves teaching group fitness where she can share her passion for fitness and motivate her students and clients to achieve their personal goals and successes.
Mary holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from UCONN and a MS of Controls Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and works as an Aerospace Engineer at Pratt and Whitney.
